BSC DESIGN launched in 1995 as the Goldsmithing, Silversmithing and Jewellery studio practice of Beaulagh Sloan Chapman-Brooks MA(RCA)
Her distinctive style explores geometry and nature in perfect harmony creating pieces with clean lines and sensuous shapes.
With a passion for moving metal, Beaulagh uses her innovative development of Anti-clastic Raising combined with more traditional methods of hammerwork such as Sin-Clastic Raising, Fold-forming, Chasing and Repousee to produce unique pieces with personality. Beaulagh specializes in bespoke contemporary design commissions for numerous international clients.
In addition to her studio practice Beaulagh's extensive teaching experience as a senior academic in leading UK Universities and Colleges has given her a unique insight into the creative needs and the understanding of both commercial clients and students. As such she divides her time between her studio practice and teaching. She is currently Course Leader of the BA Hons Jewellery & Objects Degree programme at Birmingham City University. Beaulagh is also the Co-Founder and Director of Education at Centrepunch, a private training centre based in the UK.
